Fun Texas-style night out
We had a great time at the Stockyards rodeo. I haven't been to a rodeo in YEARS and a friend from London had never been to one ever before - so we thought this was a great idea to introduce some Texas culture. The Stockyards area is so cute and fun - shopping, restaurants, etc. Then the rodeo itself was very enjoyable - we got the VIP seats which are higher up but have a good view of the Coliseum. And there are two bathrooms up there and a bar - bonus! We plan to go again when more visitors come in town, and will definitely spend a few extra dollars to get the VIP seating. The rodeo was only an hour and 45 minutes, wish it had gone on longer with some more bull riding - but this is their every weekend rodeo so understandably may be a bit smaller than big ones. Still there were lots of cowboys and cowgirls and entertainment.
